Selectperson Janet Stone McGuigan
Janet moved to Greenwich with her family in 2006. Since then, she has
immersed herself in the community, most recently as the newest member of the
Greenwich Board of Selectmen. In that role she formally serves as the co-chair
of the Greenwich Sustainability Committee, liaison to the Energy Management
Advisory Committee and liaison to the Harbor Management Commission.
Prior to her election as Selectperson, she served on the Representative
Town Meeting (and as a Selectperson continues her service as an ex officio
member), the boards of the League of Women Voters, PTA Council and
Community Centers Inc, as a fund development committee chair and sustainer advisor for the Junior League,
co-president of the Greenwich High School Band Boosters and committee chair for BSA Troop 9.
She has degrees in civil engineering and economics from Cornell University and a master’s in public policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
Her professional experience includes working on environmental policy research for Resources for the Future, and on the mediation of federal regulatory negotiations for Resolve: Center for Dispute Resolution in Washington, DC, and writing white papers for the European Commission in Brussels, Belgium.
Janet resides in Old Greenwich with her husband, Peter, a Greenwich High School graduate, and their college student sons, Peter and James, also Greenwich High School graduates.

About the BET
(Caucus Leader) is in her fourth term on the BET, serving on the Budget Committee.
She was a Board of Education member for eight years, with two years as Chair, as well as
a member of the RTM. Her community experience also includes serving as President
of the PTA Council and
Co-President of North Street School PTA. Professionally,
she was Group Vice President for W.R. Grace and VP of Business Development for Baker and Taylor. She holds
a BA from Wesleyan University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

BET, serving on the Audit Committee. She is an experienced member of Town government, serving four years on the Board of Education including one year as Chair. As a member of the RTM for over 12 years, she served on the Finance and Health & Human Services Committees. Her past volunteerism also includes PTA Co-President of Greenwich High School and Riverside School. She is a current Board Member of United Way and Norwalk Community College Foundation. In her professional career, she was a banker in the technology sector. She holds a BA from Middlebury College.

Her community volunteerism includes Greenwich Academy Parents Association Treasurer and ESL tutor for Family Centers. Professionally, Miriam was Goldman Sachs Executive Director Hedge Fund Strategies Global Macro Co-Head of Research. She holds a BA from Middlebury College.

and is a member of the Audit and Investment Advisory Committees. He was a member of the Greenwich Planning and Zoning Board of Appeals, serving as its Chair. Professionally, he was an executive at JP Morgan for 39 years including Risk Management Vice Chair and Exchange and Clearinghouse Steering Committee Chair. He holds a BA from Cornell University and an MBA from New York University.
is in his first term on the BET has been an Old Greenwich resident since 1993. He is the
Co-Chair of the Restructuring and Finance Litigation practice at Herrick, Feinstein LLP in New York. He was Co-President of Old Greenwich Riverside Community Center and Co-President of Board for Student Publications at the University of Michigan. He holds a BA and JD from the University of Michigan.
is in his eighth term on the BET and is member of its Budget Committee. He has a long history of community involvement serving as Board of Ethics Chair, Democratic Town Committee Chair, RTM member, President of the Riverside Association, PTA Co-President of Riverside School and Eastern Middle School, member of the United Way Board, member of the Greenwich Library Board, and GEMS volunteer. He practiced law for 37 years at Ramer & Ramer. He holds a BA from Franklin & Marshall College and a JD from Fordham Law.
